Choosing between embroidery and screen printing is one of the most common questions we get from procurement teams. Here is the short version: embroidery wins on durability and premium feel, screen printing wins on detail and budget.
When to Choose Embroidery
Embroidery is stitched thread, so it survives 80+ washes without fading. It works best for simple logos with fewer than 4-5 colours and no fine gradient detail. Polo shirts, caps, and jackets all look more premium with embroidery on the chest or sleeve.
When to Choose Screen Printing
If your logo has gradients, photographic elements, or more than 8 colours, screen printing (or DTG) is the only practical option. It is also significantly cheaper for large flat-print areas like full-front T-shirt designs.
Our Recommendation
For corporate uniforms worn daily: embroidery. For one-time event T-shirts: screen printing. For welcome kits: a mix — embroidered polo, printed tote bag.
